Article: Safeguarding for parents

Being a parent is a wonderful and rewarding experience, but it's not easy!

Most parents do everything they can to protect their children and make sure they're brought up in a loving and caring environment, but sometimes families have problems and difficulties and children can suffer as a result.

Family life is never perfect; parents aren't perfect and no two parenting experiences are ever the same, but all parents may experience difficulty from time to time and this can test the best of parents.  When additional pressures come along they can make a hard job nearly impossible and this is when things can go wrong.  At times like these knowing where to find support can make all the difference, especially to the child.
