If you're a young person worried about your own or another young
person's safety, we've included some useful links to a range of
support services who will listen to your worries and help you get

Ofsted Inspection of Safeguarding
and Looked After Children's
Services, Barnsley Council was issued with an
Notice. This Notice includes details of the
actions that the Council must take to improve the overall
effectiveness of Barnsley's Safeguarding Children's Services and
better protect children.
In response we have developed a Safeguarding Improvement Plan
which impacts on the work of Children and Young People's Services
and all of our partner agencies who work together to safeguard
children. The Safeguarding Improvement Plan explains the actions we
will take to address the issues raised in the Improvement
